It depends on your personal choices. If you travel by the train, then you have to arrange few things by yourself, like train ticket to Aranyaphrathet, then border crossing and then a shared bus to Seam Reap. If you travel by a bus, then you can get a bus package from Bangkok to Seam Reap and in that case, the tour operator arranges your bus to the Cambodia Border, then border crossing and then another bus to Seam Reap.
