Thailand Visa Information for Indian Citizens

Important Update: Thailand and Cambodia are agreed to implement a single visa scheme, known as ACMECS Single Visa, that allows tourists to visit both the countries on a single visa from Dec 27, 2012 onwards. Different type of Visas: There are different type of short term stay and long term stay visas for Thailand. Here, I am explaining only short term stay visas i.e. Transit, Tourist and Visa on Arrival, issued for the purpose of Tourism to the independent backpackers.

Transit Visa: Single, Double or Multiple Entries. Stay up to 30 days per entry.

This type of visa will be issued to applicants who wish to enter the Kingdom for the following purposes:

To travel in transit through the Kingdom in order to proceed to the country of destination or to re-enter his/her own country (category “TS”)
To participate in sports activities (sportsmen, sportswomen, etc.)(category “S”)

The person in charge or crew of a conveyance coming to a port, station or area in the Kingdom (category “C”)

Tourist Visa: Single, Double or Multiple Entries. Stay up to 60 days per entry.

This type of visa will be issued to applicants who wish to enter the Kingdom for the purpose of tourism.

Visa on Arrival: Stay up to 15 days per entry.

This type of visa is issued to the passport holders from 19 countries (including India) at the 48 designated immigration checkpoints only for the purpose of tourism for the period of not exceeding 15 days.

Note: Employment is strictly prohibited in the case of both types of visa and also with visa on arrival.

Visa on Arrival Process: Visa fee 2000 THB (no other currency) and payable in cash only.

This is the choice of the most Indians traveling to Thailand. After leaving your flight at Bangkok Suvarnbhumi Airport,check if you are having 2000 THB as visa fee. If not, you can exchange money outside immigration counters. ATMs are also available. Just outside the dedicated visa-on-arrival counter there is a help desk from where you can get the application form. After filling your form with a photograph attached, go to the dedicated visa-on-arrival immigration counter and wait for your turn in 2-3 long queues. Sometimes waiting time in these queues may be up to 45 mins to 60 mins. There is also a priority counter without any extra cost for senior citizens, ladies and person having connecting flights to other airports in Thailand. For others, priority queue costs THB 250 extra per person. While standing in normal queue, keep a watch on the priority queue. If there is no significant crowd in priority queue, you can also jump in that queue without any problem (As per my observations at the Airport).

The Visa on Arrival process is very smooth. Handover documents to the officials at the counter with the visa fee of 2000 THB. They check the documents and if everything is fine, within 2-3 minutes they give you a token number. After getting the token number, wait on the nearby chairs for your turn for visa stamp. The token number and the counter number is displayed at LCD panels in front of the waiting area . There are 5-6 counters. So it doesn’t take more time. After checking your token number at the LCD screen, go to the respective counter, handover the verified documents to the immigration officer. They take your picture and stamped your passport with the 15-day visa-on-arrival.

Required Documents for Visa-On-Arrival: (Source: Thai Embassy, Singapore Website). Website of Thai Embassy in New Delhi doesn’t have the updated information.

1. A dully filled Visa-on-Arrival application form (Downlaod Here) (Blank form available on a counter outside the immigration area, better to use that form)

2. Passport with at least 6 months validity

3. A photograph (4×6 cm) required to be stapled on the form (Preferably coloured photograph with white background). If you don’t have the photographs, you can get it clicked there outside the immigration area at the cost of 20 THB. The photo studio is just adjacent to the counter issuing blank application form for VOA.

4. A return or onward journey ticket out of Thailand within 15 days of arrival

5. Proof of adequate finances (10,000 THB per person and 20,000 THB per family). Just declare your annual income in the arrival card given by the airlines. They do not ask for the liquid money or credit cards or even for financial statements. But to be on the safe side, it is good to have bank and credit card statements in hand.

6. A complete list of all hotel reservation in Thailand. It is being thoroughly checked now a days.

7. Arrival/Departure Card handed over by the Airlines (generally during the flight)…If you don’t have the arrival/departure card, you can get one outside the VOA counter.

Extension of Stay: Visitors who enter the Kingdom with Visa on Arrival generally cannot file an application for extension of stay except in special cases such as illness which prevents them from traveling, etc. Those who wish to stay longer or may wish to change their type of visa must file an application for permission at the Office of Immigration Bureau located on Government Center B, Chaengwattana Soi 7, Laksi, Bangkok 10210, Tel 0-2141-9889 or at Thai Immigration Bureau Website. The extension of stay as well as the change of certain type of visa is solely at the discretion of the Immigration officer. The usual fee for a visa extension is 1900 THB. Normally, Indian citizens get 7 days extension only.

Online Application for Visa on Arrival: You can also apply online for visa on arrival. Online application can be made at this web address: Apply for Visa on Arrival online. You will get Transaction Reference Number (TRN) after completing the online application form. Please print it out and bring it along when you travel to Thailand to get Visa on Arrival stamped on your passport.

Note: At everywhere, it is mentioned that the minimum validity of the passport should not be less than 6 months to enter in Thailand. But while applying online for visa on arrival, they only mention the minimum 30 days validity for the passport.

Getting Thai Visa in India: It is better to get the Thai Visa in India itself to avoid any last minute problem or long VOA queue at Bangkok Airport. Getting Thai visa in India is a really easy and hassle free process. It’s cheaper also with longer duration of stay. (30/60 days on single entry in comparison to 15 days in case of VOA)

Application Process:

After arrival at VFS Centre, the Security Guard at entry gate issue a token number. When I went there, there were only three people for visa application including me. So, I straight went to the counter and handed over my documents to them. They were particularly concerned about the photograph. I had to take another photograph from outside as they thought that my photograph was not proper. After documents verification, you need to deposit the application fee at the counter itself and they will give you an acknowledgment receipt, which is required at the time of passport collection.

Collection of Passport after Visa: Visa collection timing at VFS is strictly between 3.00 PM -5.00 PM (from Monday to Friday). Go to the VFS with your photo identity card and VFS receipt. Security Guard issue a token outside the center. Go inside the center. Wait for your turn. Once your token number is announced proceed to the Counter as per the token number and collect your passport with your visa stamped.

Documents Required for Transit/Tourist Visa:

Generally, for these two types of visas, documents requirements are similar. An applicant needs to submit following documents:

Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months with two opposite blank pages.
Visa Application Form completely filled out (download here For Delhi and For Chennai)
Two recent photographs against white background (3.5x 4.5 cm) of the applicant (preferably not older than 3 months)
Evidence of Transportation: Confirmed return air ticket with complete tour itinerary.
Evidence of Adequate Finance: Original receipt of endorsement of $700/person or Original Bank Statement from last month with minimum balance equally as $700/person along with bank stamp and signature or Credit Card issued by a bank or financial institution along with last month credit card statement. (No limit set for the applications submitted in Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad).
A complete list of all hotel reservations in Thailand. If not for the entire duration, have the hotel reservations for initial 3-4 days at least.

Update (May 15,2013): From Feb.2013 onwards, Thai Visa applicants at VFS Delhi and Chennai Center can also fill their applications online. However, these applications cannot be signed digitally. You have to take the print-out of this application form after filling all the details and manually sign it to submit at VFS center. Old offline application form is also acceptable as before.

Tips:

1. Photo Specifications: Color Photographs taken against white background and Your full face should be visible. The photograph should be taken without sunglasses and without a hat or any other head covering, unless you wear such an item because of your religious beliefs or ethnic background.

2. For Visa on Arrival only one photograph is required.

3. In case of travel to Thailand with tourist visa, a confirmed return air ticket is required. If you want a transit visa, then a confirmed onward air ticket is necessary. However, if you want to enter in Laos, Cambodia or in Malaysia from Thailand by road, then a statement on A4 size paper stating your onward travel to these countries is required. The statement should be addressed to The Royal Thai Embassy.

Please Note: If required, you may be requested to bring additional documents by The Royal Thai Embassy / Consulate.

Visa Fee:

Transit Visa: INR 1900 per entry. Single entry visa is valid for 3 months from date of issue (including issuing date). For double entry, it is valid for 6 months (including issuing date).

But, once you entered in the Kingdom, You are permitted to stay for a period not exceeding 30 days in each entry including date of arrival and departure both. So, if you are having double entry transit visa and want to stay in Thailand for more than 30 days, e.g. 51 days, then on 30th days you have to leave Kingdom for another country and then you can come back again on your second entry permit for next 30 days. But you should exercise your both entry options before the expiry of visa, i.e. 60 days from the date of issue in case of double entry visa.

Tourist Visa: INR 2500 for single entry and INR 12000 for multiple entry. Single entry visa is valid for 3 months from date of issue (including issuing date). For multiple entry, it is valid for 6 months (including issuing date).

But, once you entered in the Kingdom, You are permitted to stay for a period not exceeding 60 days in each entry including date of arrival and departure both.

What is Visa Validity and Period of Stay: At Thai visa, you will see two dates as Date of Issue and Enter Before. These dates explain the validity period of your visa. When you enter in Thailand, at immigration counter, they stamp your visa with arrival stamp and there is another date marked as Admitted Until. This date explain the period of stay.

Now, suppose on your single entry visa, Date of Issue is marked as Oct. 8 and Enter Before is marked as Jan.7 , then it means your visa is valid between these days for a entry in Thailand, but not for exit from Thailand. It means, you have to exercise your single entry option before 24:00 Hrs of Jan.7. Therefore, your visa expiry date is Jan.7 in this case. Now there are two cases for period of stay:

1. You enter in Thailand on Dec.5 and for a single entry tourist visa, you are allowed to stay upto 30 days including the date of entry and exit. Therefore, at the immigration counter, they put the entry stamp with Admitted Until date as Jan.3, but your visa expiry date is Jan.7. In this case, you have to leave Thailand before 24:00 Hrs of Jan.3, irrespective of the visa expiry date. Also note that, once you exit from the country, single entry visa will be expired.

2. You enter in Thailand on Jan.7, which is your visa expiry date. But since, you are entering in Thailand before 24:00 Hrs of Jan.7, your 30 days period of stay will be count from there. That is, you can remain in country until 24:00 Hrs of Feb.5, irrespective of your visa expiry date of Jan.7.

Note: 1. Similarly, for a double entry visa, you have to exercise both the entry options before the 24:00 Hrs of the visa expiry date.

2. Having a prior visa does not entitle you to enter in that country. It is the sole discretion of the Immigration Officer at the port of entry to allow or deny you an entry in that country.

3. In case of Visa-on-Arrival, you only get Admitted Until date as you are already entering in the country.

Extension of Stay: Those who wish to stay longer or may wish to change their type of visa must file an application for permission at the Office of Immigration Bureau located on Government Center B, Chaengwattana Soi 7, Laksi, Bangkok 10210, Tel 0-2141-9889 or at Thai Immigration Bureau Website. Those issued with a standard stay of 15 or 30 days can extend their stay for seven to 10 days (depending on the immigration office) if the extension is handled before the visa expires. The 60-day tourist visa can be extended by up to 30 days at the discretion of Thai immigration authorities. After the first time extension of 30 days, you may try for the second extension of 7 days.

For all types of visa extensions, bring along two passport-sized photos and one copy each of the photo and visa pages of your passport. Remember to dress neatly and do all visa extensions yourself, rather than hiring a third party.

If you overstay your visa, the usual penalty is a fine of 500B per day, with a 20,000 B limit. Fines can be paid at the airport or in advance at an immigration office. If you’ve overstayed only one day, you don’t have to pay. Children under 14 traveling with a parent do not have to pay the penalty.

VFS Service Charges: Rs. 305 (in North India) and Rs.297 (in South India) per person including all taxes up to 24 people (in South India, up to 10 people only). If there are more than 24 people (more than 10 people in case of South India) in the group, the service charges are different and slightly lower (INR 255 for 25-40 people and INR 230 for 41 and more people). In South India for 11 and more people service charges are INR 222.

Note:

1. For an applicant applying at Delhi / Chandigarh/Gurgaon/Jaipur application centres, the visa fee is payable by CASH or demand draft favoring “VFS Global Services Pvt. Ltd.” payable at New Delhi, and in Indian Rupees Only.

2. Bank Charge of INR 30/per application will be paid in CASH only.

3. For an applicant applying at Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad application center the visa fee is payable by demand draft favoring “’The Royal Thai Consulate General’, payable in Chennai and in Indian Rupees Only.

4. Alternate payment options are available at the VFS center for payment of visa fee at a service charge of Rs.56/- (Inclusive of service tax) per application. They already have some drafts from Deutsche Bank as application fee.

Applying through courier: Thailand visa Application center Delhi also accepts the Visa applications through blue dart (only from seven locations) courier service and return of passport at a nominal charge of Rs.510 (Rupees four hundred and ninety four only) in form of a Demand Draft in favor of VFS Global Services Pvt. Ltd. payable at New Delhi only per application/-(including service charges and courier).

Note: If you want to apply in person and want passport delivery at home, you can get this option at the charge of Rs.205 per application. The passport will be delivered by Blue Dart to your home.

Important Note: All fees and charges are non refundable, even if the application is refused or withdrawn.

Re-Entry Permit: If you have a Single entry visa (suppose valid for 60 days) and would like to travel outside of Thailand for a short period (suppose for 10 days in Cambodia) then a re-entry permit will be needed. If you will cross Aranyaprothet Border from Thailand to enter in Cambodia, your single entry visa will be over. To enter in Kingdom of Thailand again, you need a new visa from embassy or you can get a visa-on-arrival while returning back from Cambodia. First case will serve the purpose, but visa-on-arrival is issued only at certain immigration checkpoints. Suppose your single entry visa in Thailand was valid until 15th April 2012 and you are going to Cambodia on 3rd April, 2012. You want to enter in Thailand again before 15th April and have your connecting flight to onward destination before 15th April. In this case, you can apply for a re-entry permit at border checkpoint by paying 1000 Thai Bath and this will help you to enter again in Thailand without getting a new visa. This way you need not to fly out to the airport to get a visa-on-arrival and you can enter in Thailand by road only. At Bangkok Suvarnbhumi Airport, a re-entry application can be made one hour prior to your departure from the airport on the same day of departure only.

When applying for a re-entry permit you will need to submit the following –

* A completed TM-8 form
* The correct fee
* A 2″ photo
* Photocopy of passport (main page, visa page and latest entry stamp)

Current fees for re-entry permit

* 1,000 Baht for single
* 3,800 Baht for multiple

Re-entry permits can be applied for in person or by an agent at Thai Immigration. If an agent is used a letter of attorney is required.

  Hi Rahul, you can’t stay in Thailand for 6 months continuosly, unless you have a work visa or residence permit. However, You can ask for a multiple entry visa, that allow you to enter in Thailand multiple times in a single year. Each entry will be restricted for stay upto 30 days only and it can be extended for further 30 days.

      Hi, Its doable. Many companies do the same. Its upto you to check the authenticity of your company. If that is genuine, then there is no harm to reach Bangkok with visa-on-arrival facility. Just apply for the work-permit as they said, and enjoy sightseeing in Bangkok. You are not allowed to work in Thailand without a work permit, but check if they have the arrangement with the immigration deptt. They can facilitate your work till you get your work permit.

Hi, thanks a lot for providing info for Indian travelers via this platform. My doubt is that I have a single entry tourist visa expiring in 3 days. I wish to stay for another 15-20 days. So, is it possible to get an extension of another month for Indians. I read somewhere at Thai Immigration website that the nationals of 7 countries including India can only extend their tourist visas for another 7 days maximum. Is it true for VOA or single entry too?

  Hi, if you are having a 15-days or 30-days single entry tourist visa, then normally 7-10 days extension is permitted by Thai Immigration at the cost of 1900 THB. For upto 30 days extension, you should have a 60-days tourist visa. Visa extension is normally not allowed in the case of Visa-on-Arrival. If you want to stay more, you can do a visa run to neighbouring countries (Cambodia or Laos) and again come to Thailand on 15-days Visa-on-Arrival through the designated immigration checkpoints.

Hi, I am holding Malaysia multiple entry Tourist visa. I plan to go Hat yai, Thailand from Kuala Lumper by bus or Train and cross land immigatrion. Will I get Visa on arrival at Sadoa Immigration Checkpoint , Songkla for stay of 4 days in Thailand because I heard form some where it’s mandatory to hold return Air tickets in order to get VOA in Thailand. By the way I hold return Air ticket to India from Kuala Lumpur.

  Hi, visa-on-arrival is available at Sadoa Immigration. While return air ticket is a condition for VOA, you can state in a cover letter that you will return to Malaysia by road. Attach your multiple entry Malaysian visa and KL-DEL air ticket to support your cover letter. You will get VOA easily. 🙂

    Hi, thanks for your valuable advice. Is the Pedang Besar immigration of Thailand while taking train from KL to HatYai differ from Sadao immigration? Is it mandatory to pass through Sadao by road to VOA or can pass through Pedang besar immigration by train to get VOA. Thanks

      Hi, Both are the different checkpoints. To get a VOA, it is mandatory to pass through Sadao by road. Pedang Besar Immigration is not on the list of ports, that offer VOA to Indian Nationals.

I entered Thailand on Visa On Arrival system on 17th Feb. I got visa till 3rd March. Now I want to stay in BKK til 17th March. What do I have to do?

  Hi, generally, extension of visa is not possible, if you enter in Thailand with visa-on-arrival, except any medical problem. However, you can try your luck at the immigration office, that address is mentioned in this post. Its completely a jurisdiction of the immigration officer and they can extend your visa without any medical problem also. If they refuse, then you have the only option of visa-run to Laos or Cambodia. Both countries offer visa-on-arrival to the Indian citizens. Just go to Laos/Cambodia and re-enter in Thailand to get Visa-on-arrival again for next 15 days. But trick is that if you go to Cambodia via Aranyaprathet border, then you can’t enter in Thailand by road, as that border doesn’t offer visa-on-arrival. In that case, you have to fly down from nearby Seam Reap city to Bangkok.

  Hi, you don’t need to carry 40000 INR in cash. You should have equivalent money in your Indian account as a proof of adequate finance. This 40000 INR limit is there for a family, while for an individual, this limit is 20000 INR.

      Hi, if your Debit Card is an International card, then you can withdraw money from any Visa/MasterCard ATM. Bank will charge approx. INR 150 per transaction as the transaction fee apart from conversion fee plus service charges. Check HDFC Bank website for current charges. If you withdraw large amount on a single go, instead of same amount in many go, then it is the best option. If you carry USD, then you are subjected to currency conversion twice, first from INR to USD and then USD to THB. If possible, get THB directly in India at reasonable rate, otherwise carry a small amount of USD or THB to spend on first day and withdraw rest of the money using your Debit Card.

  Hi, Visa-on-Arrival cost is only 1000 THB, i.e. equivalent to approx. 1800-1900 Indian Rupees, while in India, you will get a tourist visa in INR 2000 for single entry plus INR 297 as VFS service charges.

  Hi Saurav, You have to make a draft of INR 2000 in the favour of “The Royal Thai Consulate General” payable at Chennai, if applying in Chennai, Bangalore, Cochin or Hyderabad and pay for VFS Service charges of INR 297 by cash at the counter.

  Hi Prashant, A single entry tourist visa entitled you to stay upto 60 days in Thailand. Better to book a hotel online, that can be cancelled later without penalty. After getting a visa, you can cancel your booking for as many days as you wish. You can explore the hotels in Thailand after reaching there. 🙂

I left a comment a view days ago and I am not to sure if it worked properly, so just going to try again.
I am flying into Thailand on the second of Feb and was planning on getting a Visa on Arrival and stay in Thailand for the 15 days then we are planning on crossing the borders into Cambodia and Laos. For my flights home from Vientiane to New Delhi I found the cheapest way is to go via Thailand. So I want to book a flight for the 18th of March via Bangkok Airways into Bangkok airport and then 7 hours later catch a flight to Delhi with Thai Airways. Will I need a visa for the flight home? What visa should I get when I first land in Thailand? Or should I just get Visa on Arrival the first time and then apply for another on for transit on arrival?

  Hi, At first entry in Thailand, you can get a Visa-on-Arrival. Stay there for 15 days and go to Cambodia and then Laos. While coming back, I think connecting flight from Bangkok Airways to Thai Airways, does not require a transit visa. You can remain in transit area to catch your next flight of Thai Airways. Even, you can get the boarding pass of your Thai Airways flight from Vientiane (form Bangkok Airways counter) and you can also check-in your luggage for the last destination, i.e., Delhi. Bangkok Airways has this type of agreement with Thai Airways.

I along with my wife will be travelling to Thailand on 5th Jan 2014, I.e., after 3 days. I have a passport with 20 years validity which is valid till 2017 December and my wife has a new 10 years validity passport. Just yesterday, one of my friend told me that the 20 years validity passport is not accepted. Is it true ? I have made all my bookings for flight and hotels. Now, this is bothering me a lot.
Kindly give your valuable comments on this. Also, I have been to Thailand 18 months back with the same passport and there wasn’t any problem that time.

  Hi Nishant, There is an update on Official Indian Government Passport Website about 20-years validity passport on Dec.17, 2013. It states,
  Indian citizens residing in India and abroad, who possess handwritten passports as well as 20-year validity passports with validity beyond November 24, 2015, have been asked to apply for reissuing of passports and obtain machine-readable passports (MRPs). The International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) has set November 24, 2015 as the deadline for globally phasing out all non-MRPs. All handwritten passports with photos which were issued earlier by the Government of India will be considered for non-MRP passports. All 20-year validity passports will also fall in this category.   You can see that deadline is still far. Some Travelers have the issues with US and Schengen Visa, but nothing reported about Thai visa. You also have an advantage of entering in Thailand 18 months back on the same passport. So Don’t worry. You can travel with your passport. You must also confirm this information from VFS Thai Visa Center at 022-67866003. and Do renew your passport asap after returning back 🙂 .Have a nice trip.

  Hi Naresh, On-Arrival visa is strictly for the purpose of tourism and employment is prohibited. However, you can go there by getting an On-Arrival Visa and meet your employer to complete Non-Immigrant Work Visa formalities. Please understand that it is NOT illegal to ‘SEEK’ employment on a tourist visa, but it is illegal to actually commence employment with one and in your case, it is definitely illegal to start working with that company on an On-Arrival visa. Moreover, VOA only allows you to stay for 15-days in Thailand.

  Hi Pradeep, I suggest you to get a double entry transit visa for Thailand from India itself. You can use one entry at DMK and another at Poipet border, while returning back from Cambodia. But, if you want to avail VOA at DMK, then before going to Cambodia, get a re-entry permit from Bangkok, that allows you to enter in Thailand again, within 14 days of first entry on a VOA. We can go to combodia return back to Thailand and fly back. My friend is settled in Thailand for 6 years and we will be staying with him.

For Jan end trip can I apply for double entry visa this month itself? I read in your blog about a “enter before date” issue.

  Hi Vinod, You can apply for a Double Entry Transit Visa to travel in Thailand, and then in Cambodia and again in Thailand. No issue at Bangalore VFS. When you will get a visa, you can see a date written as Enter Before…So you have to exercise both of your entry by that day only. But suppose you enter second time in Thailand on that day (Enter Before Date) itself, then you can stay there for 29 more days, because transit visa allows 30 days stay at each entry including the date of entry.

      Hi, Double entry visa is valid for six months. So, if you apply for a visa now, you get enter before date (i.e. validity period) upto May, 2014. It means you can apply for a double entry transit visa now itself for January end travel. What do you mean by 2+2 months? Do you want to stay for 2 months after each entry? Transit Visa allows you to stay for 30 days on each entry. So, without any extension, you can stay there for 30 days + 30 days at each entry. But if you want to stay for 30 days after any entry, then you can also do that by applying for 30 days visa extension at Immigration Office in Bangkok.

        yes, that is possible..you can enter in Thailand for 60 days on a tourist visa..So, if you get a double entry tourist visa, you can stay for 60 days on both entries.

Hi, i am bit confused, I booked tickets from CCU(Kolkata) – BKK in Jet Airways and from BKK – MNL (Manila) in PAL,i.e. both in separate tickets. Now i will reach bangkok at 4 15 am, and the flight to MNL is at 9 10am of the same day. I will have just one handbag. I am Indian National. Do i need to obtain a TRANSIT VISA??? I dont intend to go out of the airport. Kindly help 🙂

  Hi, Since JAI and PAL both are full service carriers, I think, you shouldn’t require any transit visa at Bangkok Airport. You can remain in transit area to catch your connecting flight. I never caught a connecting flight on the separate carrier, So I am not sure on this.If need arises, you are eligible for a visa-on-arrival at Bangkok.

  Hi, you can avail on arrival visa irrespective of your Penang Employment Pass, just because you are an Indian Citizen. You can show the signed photocopy of the credit card as well as a statement letter from your friend that you used his card for the ticket booking.

I have one question. (or I am just reiterating just to be sure :))
I am planning to go to Cambodia from BKK by road via Poipet-Aranyaprothet Border. In your post you have mentioned ‘you can apply for a re-entry permit at border checkpoint by paying 1000 Thai Bath and this will help you to enter again in Thailand without getting a new visa’. Does it mean I can get the re entry visa in the Poipet-Aranyaprothet Border? Is there any procedure for this or I can simply get it done when i return via that checkpoint?

  Re-entry permit is not a visa actually. It is an authorization for you to leave a country for the time-being, if you have intentions to return back again within the period of your visa validity. If you are on a single entry visa to Thailand, then you have to arrange this re-entry permit prior to your exit from Thailand, either at Bangkok Airport or at Border checkpoint. Once you exit from Thailand, neither you can get a Visa-on-Arrival, nor a re-entry permit at Poipet-Aranyaprathet Border.

  Yes, This is the criteria for visa application,for prior visa in India as well as for Visa-on-Arrival.

  you need a visa to enter in Malaysia. You can arrange that from the Embassy/Consulate of Malaysia in Bangkok. At the time of your exit, you have to deposit that departure card at Thai Immigration. and Yes, While coming back from Malaysia, you will get a new departure card.

  Hi,
  1. You don’t require a visa in both cases, provided that your connecting Malaysian Airlines flight is from the same terminal only, where you will land at KL.
  2. No idea of cruises. But as far as I know that once you live the international water to enter in a country, you need to carry a proper visa for that country. So if you will leave cruise to enter in Phuket, you should have a prior Thai visa. Otherwise, you are also eligible for On-Arrival visa of Thailand at Phuket Immigration Chekcpoint.
  for Langkawi, since Malaysia doesn’t offer a visa on arrival, so you have to arrange a prior visa to Malaysia.
  3. If you are not planning to go anywhere except Langkawi, then you need only a single visa, as your BOM-SIN as well as SIN-BOM flights don’t require any visa.

  Hi,
  Air Asia is a point to point carrier. It does not offer any transit facility. It is responsible from only one destination to another, not for any connecting one. It means, at Bangkok Airport, you have to pass through the immigration and it needs a transit visa for Thailand. You are also eligible for Thai Visa-on-Arrival there. After coming out from the immigration, you can either opt to go in the city or you can remain at the airport for next 10 hours to check-in again for the next flight to Yangon.   You can get a single-entry Thai Tourist visa from Thai Embassy in Penang, that allows you to stay in Thailand for 60 days on a single entry. You are also eligible for 15 days visa-on-arrival. You required the same documents as you required in India (Check the documents list in the above post).

We have tkts for Bangkok on 9 Aug on Thai Airways and onward to Siem Reap on Cambodia Angkor Air. We return to Bangkok on 13 Aug and fly back on 17 Aug to India. My query is will I be allowed to board the flight at Bangkok for Siem Reap without a valid Cambodian visa as I want to pick it up on arrival.   Do not expect any problem at Bangkok Airport. You can catch a flight to Cambodia without any hassle. and If they will allow you to catch the Angkor Air from transit area only, then you will need only a single entry transit visa (VOA) during the return trip. But, if you are required to clear the immigration before boarding the Angkor Air flight, then you will need a double entry transit visa, as you have mentioned.

  Thanks..Normal Immigration always takes less time, because there you don’t need to queue for document verification and other formalities. Since, you are already possessing the required visa, you are allow to walk out faster at the immigration queue.

  On return from a foreign trip travellers are required to surrender unspent foreign exchange held in the form of currency notes within 90days and travellers’ cheques within 180 days of return. However, they are free to retain foreign exchange upto US$2,000, in form of foreign currency notes or TCs for future use.
  and you are free to carry this much of currency in future. At the airport, they do not ask for the receipt. You can also exchange them in local currency of the destination airport before proceeding at the immigration counter.

  I still don’t have the exact answer..But in my opinion, you have to pass through the Thai Immigration at Bangkok and then check-in again to catch your Cebu-Pacific flight. There are many information counters at Bangkok Airport, that can help you in a better way..There is no need to worry about this issue and no need to take an advance visa. If situation arises, you are always eligible for Visa-on-Arrival at Bangkok Airport.

Hi All,

I am an Indian Passport holder and want to go to Philippines via Bangkok, My flight are as follows

1st Aug – Mumbai-Bangkok and then Bangkok-Philippines (Time difference to get into other flight i.e. Bangkok-Philippines flight is 10 hours in Bangkok)
Do i need to take any Bangkok Visa for the above as i don’t want to visit Bangkok City and just want to take Connected flight for Philippines and will stay on airport itself?
If i need to take any Visa which Visa i have to take and what will be the cost?

10th Aug – Philippines-Bangkok and then want to stay in Bangkok city for 3 days and on 14th August Bangkok-Mumbai flight.

  Do i need to take any Bangkok Visa for the above as i don’t want to visit Bangkok City and just want to take Connected flight for Philippines and will stay on airport itself?
  Check it with your airline. If you are travelling with a full service carrier offering transit facility at Bangkok Airport, you don’t require any visa, because you will not pass Thai Immigration and remain in the transit area only. But if you are travelling with a low-cost carrier, that is a point-to-point carrier, then you have to pass through the immigration at Bangkok Airport, thus, a visa is required.

  Apply for a Transit Visa. That cost you about 1800 INR in Mumbai including service charges.You can also exercise the option of Visa-on-Arrival. It is available at the airport with a price of 1000 THB.
  Philippines-Bangkok and then want to stay in Bangkok city for 3 days and on 14th August Bangkok-Mumbai flight.
  Which Bangkok Visa i need to take for the above and what will be the cost?
  Again you need a Transit Visa and cost as mentioned above.
  Note: If you require a visa in the case of departure also, then go for a double entry transit visa for Thailand. It will cost you about 3600 INR (1800 INR per entry) in India or you can exercise Visa-On-Arrival both the times.

  Hi Ashish, It is better to take visa-on-arrival form from the arrival airport. The form provided here is for an idea only and same as the VOA form at the airport, but sometimes, immigration authorities refuse to accept the printed or copy version of this. VOA form are available in plenty just outside the VOA counter without any charge.

  Indian passport holders are eligible for Visa on Arrival in Thailand , irrespective of their departure country, if they are entering in Thailand through the designated immigration checkpoints as mentioned in the post above…Documents required for visa on Arrival is also mentioned in the post.

  There are various type of Lont-Term Non-Immigrant visa options. Almost every visa allow you to stay for maximum 90 days, but then there are options like visa extensions and visa-runs to help you to leave there for a longer period. 🙂

  If you are crossing the border at Sadoa Immigration Checkpoint,Songkla then you are eligible for the VOA irrespective of the mode of transport. You do not need to produce an air ticket for the VOA.

In the visa form, “for proposed address in Thailand,” I have given the hotel information. They are asking for “name and address of the guarantor in Thailand”. This is my first trip to Thailand and I do not have any friends or relatives in Thailand. What should I fill in that field?

HI,
I am leaving to taiwan from bangalore(India) for 3 months by flight via bankgok (july to september). while returning to india, i thought i will stop at bangkok and do 5 days of tripping. My passport is valid for 7 months which was sufficient to get visa to taiwan. My passportport validity would be for only 4 months when i enter bangkok. Can i get VOA still?? Any solutions if the answer is NO?

  Hi,
  Minimum passport validity requirement for getting a Thai VOA is 6 months and this is strictly enforced, at least for the Indian citizens. Some westerners got Thai VOA with 5 months passport validity also,so as far as your onward ticket from Bangkok is before the expiry date of your passport, you should not have any problem, but this is totally depends on the discretion of an Immigration Officer. There is no written rule in Black and White, that allow you to get a Thai VOA with less than 6 months of passport validity. So, I do not find any solution to enter in Thailand in that case.

  It depends…If you will be there with all the relevant documents, there shouldn’t be any rejection..and having a pre-approved visa is always beneficial than getting worry about VOA.

I am traveling to Bangkok tomorrow May 30th from Chennai. We are a group of 7 people. I am going to get Visa On Arrival at the Suvarnabhumi airport. After this, we want to proceed to Siem Reap by road through Aranyaprathet – Poipet Border. And return back to Bangkok via the same road.

Is VOA a single entry visa?

Can VOA passengers travel to Siem Reap by road through Poipet crossing? Will I have visa problem?

Should I get re-entry permit before I take the road trip? If so, how do I apply for re-entry permit?

Is it better to hop onto the flight to Siem Reap? Then, should I again apply for VOA at the Suvarnabhumi Airport?

Please suggest how to travel to Siem reap with VOA at the Bangkok Airport.

  You can travel to Poipet Border by Thai VOA. You will also get a Cambodian Visa-on-Arrival at the border. No visa problem.

  You must apply for the re-entry permit. There is a counter for re-entry permit at Suvarnbhumi Airport. Without re-entry permit, you can not enter again in Thailand through Poipet Border. Poipet-Aranyaphrathet border does not has the facility of VOA.

I have similar situation like query no. 13 from Muhammad above. Only change, that he was going to Bali and I am going to Philippines (from India). Now, I too am using Bangkok as a transit airport on 8th June 2013 for my final destination as Philippines using Cebu Pacific Airways. But in my case, my next flight to Philippines is after 24 hours from BKK. So, first i will take a Visa on Arrival (as I am an Indian Citizen) and move out into Bangkok City. Now my question is that, while coming back; I am returning from Hong Kong and arriving directly at Phuket on 19th June 2013. I plan to stay in Phuket for 2 days, and another one or half day at Bangkok and leave for India on 23rd June 2013.

So now, as per my understanding I have to take another Visa on Arrival at Phuket within a gap of just 12 days. (Which will cost be another 1000 THB approx.) So can you tell me is this the best option to get VoA twice? And what is the cost of ‘double-entry’ visa specifically? And will the double entry visa work good for my 2nd entry in Thailand just after 12 days of 1st entry?

  You are eligible for a VOA both times, first at Bangkok and later at Phuket. It will cost you 2000 THB (approx. 3600 INR) in total to get VOA two times. You can also apply for a double entry transit visa in advance. That will cost you 3200 INR..So, if you apply for a visa in embassy directly, then you can save 400 INR. But, if you apply through an agent, its better to opt for VOA. Double entry visa work good even just after 12 days of entry.

I had a 60 days tourist visa to stay in Bangkok which is expiring soon. I need to stay in bangkok for another month. I sthere a way I can get visa extension. I have heard for Indians, Thai immigration only extends tourist visa for one week. Can I go to some other place through sea or land (not air) to get out to country which gives Visa on arrival to Indian citizens and then take visa on arrival back.

  For a 60-days tourist visa, upto 30 days extension is allowed, but it solely depends on the discretion of Thai Immigration Officials. Just for the change go to Seam Reap in Cambodia, 10 hours journey from Bangkok by a train and a bus or 40 minutes by flight. Cambodia offers a visa-on-arrival for Indian citizens. Seam Reap is famous for Angkor Wat Temple and you will surely enjoy that place. Laos also offers a Visa-on-Arrival. but, be aware that when you return back to Thailand after your trip, you will get only a 15-days Visa-on-Arrival.

    I explian them about VOA, still they didn’t let me fly.
    I just ask, are they authorised to do that?

      Hi Gurpreet, If you are traveling with an Indian Passport, they can’t deny you the boarding. With all the relevant documents, you are very much eligible for the Visa-On-Arrival at Bangkok. It is surprise to know that they deny your entry on the basis of Thai Visa. Generally, they don’t do this. For a valid reason, immigration people are authorized to deny your boarding. Can you check, if there is any other reason?

        Don’t worry..Indian citizens are very much eligible for VOA in Bangkok. It is still unbelievable that Indian Immigration denied a boarding to Gurpreet only because of the Thai Visa.         Your documents are sufficient enough for VOA, except accommodation bookings. I don’t advise you to take any chance. Also book a cheap hotel at any hotel booking website, which booking cost is fully refundable on cancellation. After getting your VOA, cancel all the bookings and stay with your friend. Its not a big deal. 🙂

  It depends on Angkor Air options at Bangkok Airport. Low cost airlines like Air Asia are mainly a point-to-point carrier, so you have to cross immigration at the landing airport like Bangkok in this case. We don’t have any idea about Angkor Air. If it is also a point-to-point carrier, then you can not remain in transit and you have to pass through immigration and then you will require a VOA at the airport.

Hi…We are a group of 2 travelling to Thailand next month. We will be landing Bangkok on 18/04/2013 and exiting on 21/04/213.
We have got the return flight tickets (Indigo Airlines) and also has secured Hotel accomodations (2nights in pattya & 1night at Bangkok).
We also got Thai Visa from THAI CONSULATE MUMBAI, and endorsement for USD750.
My question is:
1) As my Visa is from Mumbai, and my flight from Delhi (Mumbai-Delhi-Bangkok on Indigo) will there be any problems??
2) I have got endorsement for USD750 on passport, will there be any need to show the actual liquid cash on arrival. (I have liquid cash around 500$)
3) Will 500$ be enough to get through with prior tourist visa in hand.

  Here is your answers:
  1. There will not be any problem. A visa is an authorization for your entry into a country. It does not depend on the place of issue.
  
  2.No need to show the liquid cash…But since you are having USD 500 in cash, that will be sufficient to satisfy immigration officials.
  
  3. 500 USD is more than enough to get through the immigration. Since you have the prior visa, they even don’t bother about how much cash you have. You can enjoy your three days at fullest with this much of cash in Thailand.

Thank you for the comprehensive guide on Thailand Travel. It would be great if you can help me with a query on group travel i’m planning with friends(10 persons, All Indian citizens)

Here is our itinerary
1. Bangalore to Singapore
2. Singapore –> Kuala Lumpur –> Penang –> Bangkok (Planning to travel on train as mentioned in http://www.seat61.com/Malaysia.htm)
3. Bangkok –> Bangalore

So here are the queries

1. Assuming we take Singapore travel Visa from India, what is the visa requirement for Malaysia(Planning on an overnight stay/1 full day in Kuala Lumpur)? What type of VISA is required – transit visa or travel visa? From Googling, I think Malaysia doesn’t allow VOA for Indian Citizens
2. Will we have any issues with VOA in Thailand, since we are entering through land(From Singapore ->Malaysia)? Will the procedure be any different?

  1. You are correct that Malaysia doesn’t allow On-Arrival Visa to Indian Citizens…So You have to arrange a prior TRANSIT Visa for Malaysia.
  2. Just make sure that your port of entry in Thailand has the On-Arrival Visa facility for Indian Citizens. If yes, there will be no issue in VOA. No different procedures.

  Yes, You should get Double Entry Transit Visa for Thailand from New Delhi. But three days is very less for Cambodia? Where do you plan to go? Nearest Cambodian place of interest is Angkor Archaeological Park in Seam Reap, which is a day trip from Bangkok by road or else you can fly from Bangkok to Seam Reap to enjoy it in 3-days.

I am going to Thailand for 10 days on honeymoon,so my querries are:
1. If there will be any problem in getting Visa On Arrival if my and my wife’s passport have different surnames? (As we dont have enough time to get marriage certificate)
2. In website they have mentioned that for VOA,we need to show them either 20000 THB in cash or an endorsement of 1000 USD on passport.But i already have around 2000 USD in cash and dont have any endorsement on passport.So can i show them USD in cash as well? Or are there any currency exchange counters before VOA desks where i can convert USD into THB?

  Hi Anurag, You only require a valid passport to board a flight to Thailand. Indian Immigration knows very well that Thailand offers VOA. But, must take the necessary documents required by Thai Immigration to offer you a VOA. Just for yours and others information, this is not the case with every country. Thailand is a popular destination and everybody knows that it offers VOA for Indians. But for the lesser known destinations like Ethiopia, ( it also offers the VOA to Indian citizens), sometimes it is very hard to convince the Indian Immigration regarding this fact. So, at that time you may require a proof (like web page copy), that can convince them that the destination country really offers a VOA.

I am travelling to Thailand this weekend and was looking up your site.. Very informative n precise. Thank you very much for that. Also downloaded the visa on arrival form from here. But on opening it and seeing, i saw that they require “Name and Address of person (s) of reference in Thailand.” I am going there on a holiday and don’t have any. Am so worried now about what to write there. Is that grounds for the visa to be rejected. Do all persons going there for a holiday have a person of reference in that country?

  Don’t worry about the references. In the reference column, just write the name, address and contact number of the hotel (first one, if you booked multiple), where you are proposed to stay in Thailand. That’s it. Enjoy your journey.

Thanks so much for your post, helped reassure me about the Visa on Arrival procedures. We are four female students from India and plan to go to Thailand between 5th to 10th February 2013. We have our hotels and round trip flights booked but found a lot of contradictory information about the Visa on Arrival process.

Just to confirm, we do not need to take 10000 baht in cash or have any income certificates with us right? Since we are students, we do not have income certificates or credit card statements, only bank accounts.

  To get a Visa-On-Arrival in Thailand, you have to show 10000 Bath in cash per person (20000 Bath for a family) or your bank account statement. But, this is only in theory. Practically, at immigration counter they do not bother about this requirement, even they do not ask for any income certificate. But, what will you do if they ask? So, in foreign land, its always to play a safe game. Therefore, I suggest you to take your updated bank passbook with you with at least INR 15000 in your account and make sure that you are carrying International Debit Card of the same bank, so that you can convince the immigration official that I have money in my account and I am carrying a Debit Card to withdraw that money in case of requirement. That’s it. 🙂 You will get a VOA in Bangkok. and one more thing, VOA fee is 1000 Bath and payable in cash only.

  Hi Tabrez,
  Air Asia is a point-to-point carrier. It means at the first airport of landing ( in this case Bangkok), you have to pass the immigration and then again check-in for the second flight. Same is the case with return flight. In simple words, if Air Asia, first takes you to Delhi to Bangkok, then the job will be over in Bangkok in terms of Baggage, Insurance and all benefits. Then, you will catch the second flight as a fresh flight from Bangkok, not as a connecting one, , unless you are using FLY-THRU connecting facility of Air Asia. But as far as I know, this facility is valid only at Kuala Lampur Airport. So, in your case you will require a double-entry transit visa for Thailand.Have a wonderful journey.

Me and my friend is going to bangkok on 16th jan 13 and planning to go to penang by train after one week from phuket. I got scanned copies of train tickets from the agent and malaysian visa is stamped in our passports. I got air ticket from kuala lumpur to bangalore for 28th jan 13.

I am really worried whether we will get VOA from bangkok airport since we are having train ticket as exit from thailand. Can I show return tickets from Kuala Lumpur to convince them?

Thanks for the info. I am from india and entered bangkok on 19th dec and got voa. Then i flew to vietnm. Planning to go to cambodia and then take return flight from bangkok on 1st jan. I didnt realize there is no voa at poipet border. Now according to your blog i should be able to get a re entry permit at poipet. But i am worried if they can refuse. Should i try to get visa at phnom penh. Heard tht is also not easy and need 2 to 3 days

  You should have get that Re-Entry permit prior to your departure from Bangkok Airport. My suggestion, now don’t go to Poipet, rather you should fly from Seam Reap or Phnom Penh to Bangkok to get VOA again.

  Since Indigo and Air Asia both are point-to-point carriers, you have to pass through the immigration at Bangkok Airport. Therefore, your Visa-on -Arrival will be processed at Bangkok Airport only.

i am sunnydeon from chennai india. and last 2years i was in bangkok..in my student visa. usually every 6months i am in and out.and my student visa is already over.now i am to take a short visit to singapore just a 3days and from singapore i am planning to go bangkok and in bangkok i am planning to stay 90days.then return to india chennai.and i am going in tourist visa.kindly advice what kinda visa can i take(like multi or double).please explain me clear.i am very confused about this issue,..

and doubt entry is valid 6months and can i stay one entry 60days and another entry 60days..???

  A double entry tourist visa, it is valid for 6 months (including issuing date).But, once you entered in the Kingdom, You are permitted to stay for a period not exceeding 60 days in each entry including date of arrival and departure both. So, you cannot stay for more than 60 days on a single entry, either you have to do a Visa-Run or leave Thailand to any neighbouring country and re-enter again for 60 days within the validity period of your double entry tourist visa.

Hi avinash. I’m travelling to Newzealand via Bangkok. I have a 12 hr layover at suvarnabhumi airport on my way to nz. I was planning to go into the city for a while before my connecting flight. I’ll also be staying in Bangkok for a week on my way back to India. I was wondering if the double entry transit visa would be better suited to me and whether I would need to pay any other charges at the airport if I did get the transit visa. hey! Avanish,
i am planning to go to india from vietnam and come back. i checked on some sites and got to know that i can take airasia for hcmc-Bkk and for Bkk-delhi i can take goindigo, and vice versa. and that will be too cheap comparing to thaiairways or malaysianairlines.
but for this i need to get two times entry at bangkok airport.
so my question is:
should i get voa each time at bangkok airport?
or should i get Multiple entry transit visa?
what is the price for multiple entry transit visa for 30days or less ?
i will travel in bangkok after coming back from india for 2days and will come back to vietnam. so can you suggest me cheapest solution. i am indian passport holder and my trip to india will be for 15-20 days.

  You will need two times entry visa for Bangkok and you are eligible for VOA both the times. VOA costs 1000 THB to an Indian Citizens for each entry. While in India a single entry transit visa fee is INR 1600. In my opinion, the cheapest solution is that only. You fly to BKK and then to India and go back via same route.

The provided above information are really worth. Kindly, clarify following few doubts. I am Indian citizen holding Singapore Employment pass (long term) and would like to travel Thailand as a tourist on next year starting.

1. Still may i eligible to VOA or obtain the Thai Visa in Singapore before enter in to Thailand?
2. After i obtain the Thai Tourist Visa (15 to 30 days), may i eligible to travel 2 or 3 places in Thailand? i.e place of Entry and place of Exit with in Thailand will be different.
3. My 2 other friends also join with me to visit Thai after they stayed in Singapore as a Tourist Visa (multiple). Does it make any problem to visit Thailand from Singapore departure? So, would you suggest them obtain Thai visa in India prior to enter Thailand or VAO in Thailand.

  Since, you are concerned about Visa-on-Arrival, it will be valid for 15 days only…and you can travel entire Thailand without any restriction. Place of Entry and Place of Exit can be different.

  You did not mention the nationality of your friends. I assume that they are the Indian Citizens. They can visit Thailand from Singapore and they are eligible for Visa-on-Arrival in Thailand.

Iam planning to visit Bangkok, Siem Reap during November. I will be flying into Bangkok from Bangalore on Nov 11 and proceed by road to Siem Reap. I will re enter Bangkok (Don Muang International Airport) by Air from Phnom Penh on Nov 15.

What kind of Visa should I go for. Is it better to take a Double entry Visa from India itself?

Or I can do a VOA both times?

    I think thai transit visa in india cost more Rs 1900 plus courier or yr visit expenses, where as VOA cost THB 1000 (Rs. 1750 apx)

      Hi Vijay,
      I paid INR 3200 for double entry visa, that means INR 1600 for single entry. and yes, there is some courier or visit expenses. So, there is no much difference with VOA cost, but at least if you get a visa from India only, you will be tension free in your flight to BKK.

    One more option if u r visiting Malaysia or hv Malaysian Visa then travel by Low Cost Air Asia to Siem Reap avoid two visits to Thailand save money. Thai wants to earn more money by sale of Visa where as Malaysia issue 1 year multiple entry Visa at Rs 1000, so better to encourage Malaysia not greedy Thai

      Flying from Kualalampur to Siem Reap is really a good option, but the problem is that Malaysia does not offer VOA in all conditions. Their VISA rules became stringent for Indians recently. That is why Bangkok is still a popular option among the Indians to go to Cambodia.

2. We have booked hotel there but only reservation document only contain my name (not my other two friend), so can it create problem when officer ask to show hotel reservation ?

  It depends. If you are flying with Air Asia or any other point to point carrier, then you have to pass through the Thai Immigration after arrival at Bangkok Suvarnbhumi Airport. If you have your connecting flight to Penang within the hour, then also you have to pass through the Immigration. If this is the case, then you need double entry Transit visa, one entry at Bangkok Airport and another is later at Phuket Airport.
  
  If you are flying with Thai Airways and have the connecting flight directly from Bangkok to Penang within few hours, then the you can use the transit area of Bangkok Airport. In this case, you will not pass through the Thai Immigration , hence need only a single entry visa later at Phuket Airport.
  
  If yes, can i get it from Bangkok airport and Phuket Airport respectivly on arrival.
  
  Yes, you will get it at Bangkok as well as at Phuket Airport. So, you don’t worry about your visa in any of the above case. You can always get a visa-on-arrival.
  
  What are the current fees applicable?
  
  1000 THB (no other currency) and payable in cash only. If you don’t have your passport size photograph, then you can get it by paying 20 THB at a studio outside the Immigration Counter.

  Actually Immigration Officers never bothered about the hotel reservations. But that depends. What if anybody will ask you about the accommodations? Why to take the risk? So, its better to book a room for at least first night in Bangkok. It will also help you to avoid the hassle of searching a hotel there.During your first day stay, you can easily search the another option.
